What We Do
Everything we offer is free, no questions asked. You don't need ID, an appointment, or a reason. Just reach out through the contact info below and we'll get you what you need.
Safe disposal of used injection equipment and distribution of fresh, sterile syringes. Fentanyl test strips and naloxone (Narcan) are also available—just ask. No judgment, no lectures. We just want you to be safe.
We distribute condoms, dental dams, lube, and other safer sex materials. Your body, your business—we're just here to make sure you've got what you need to stay protected.
We design and install custom DIY solar-powered systems built from upcycled parts—giving you power where the grid doesn't reach. Stay charged, stay connected, stay independent.
What Sets Us Apart
When we say we meet you at the fringes, we mean it. We're not sitting in an office waiting for you to fill out paperwork. We're out there—wherever there is for you.
Bike trails. Shooting galleries. Squatted buildings. Trap houses. Under the overpass. Behind the strip mall. In the camp nobody talks about. If you're there, we'll find you—or you can point us your way. We don't care about the address. We care that you're alive and that you've got what you need.
Most services make you come to them. We know that's not how it works for everybody. So we show up where you already are, on your terms, no strings, no surprises. That's the whole point of the Fringe.
Mutual Aid
Mutual aid means we take care of each other. We build and distribute DIY solar power banks from upcycled materials so you can stay charged, connected, and safe.
USB power banks built from reclaimed laptop batteries and salvaged solar cells. Charge your phone anywhere the sun shines. Built by the community, for the community.
Reclaimed batteries and solar panels in a rugged, weather-resistant housing. Charge your phone off-grid, anywhere.
A charged phone means emergency calls, shelter info, service access, maps, and staying in touch with people who care about you.
No means-testing. No intake forms. No ID required. If you need one, you get one. Period.
Process
We exist outside the system on purpose. Getting help from Fringe Exchange is fast, anonymous, and free.
Find us at our weekly street outreach locations across Sacramento, or hit us up online. No appointments needed.
Syringes? Narcan? A power bank? Condoms? Info? Just say the word. We don't need your name or your story.
Grab your supplies, get trained if you want, and go. Come back whenever. Bring your friends. That's it.
Support the Fringe
We don't have grants. We don't have sponsors. We run on what the community puts in. Every dollar goes straight to supplies, materials, and getting them into people's hands.
Send what you can via Venmo
@FringeExchangeMoney's great, but we also build with our hands. If you've got any of the following lying around—even if it's beat up or half-broken—we can probably use it.
Reach out through the contact info below to arrange a drop-off or pickup.
